Music has been ringing in this building since 1971, when the Mediterranean opened as a restaurant hot spot when diners could enjoy a meal, live entertainment and cocktails. Some of the top entertainers of the day come, including ukulele phenomenon and all-round odd-ball Tiny Tim and regional faves Johnny Green and the Greenmen (they had their hair and clothing dyed green).
Eventually the nightspot shifted its focus solely to food and in the 1980's pretty much stopped providing live entertainment. Is 2002, the space next to "The Med" became available and the brothers Likourgiotis decided it was time to bring something new to the local entertainment scene.
They wanted to do something different, something nobody was doing around Saint John. The pair had a plan and a clientele in mind. Taking their string reputation built on great food and service, they created a space with a warm atmosphere, a classy bar and a killer sound system. Add some great local and international talent and voila! you've got a warm, spacious and inviting 250 seat venue that has quickly become one of the top live music venues in the Atlantic Provinces.
